Odoo Consultancy

Odoo consulting with a straight answer on fit and cost.

We walk your order-to-cash and purchase-to-pay flows with the people who run them, sort every requirement into standard, configure or build, and hand you a phased, costed roadmap. If Odoo is the wrong system, or the right one later, the report says so.

What we advise on

Decisions made on your process, not a demo

Polished demos hide the hard parts. We test your edge cases, from partial deliveries to credit notes and multi-currency, before a single recommendation is written.

Process discovery

Interviews with the people who ship, invoice and count stock, not only management. We document how orders, approvals and month-end actually happen today.

Gap analysis

Every requirement is marked standard Odoo, configuration or custom module. That list is your defense against any future quote that pads the custom column.

Community or Enterprise

A verdict with the license math shown. Community costs $0; Enterprise is billed per user by Odoo directly, and we recommend it only where a feature earns the fee.

Costed roadmap

Phases, modules, effort estimates and sequence, with license, build and run costs on separate lines so finance can see what is one-off and what recurs.

Local tax and compliance

Thai VAT, withholding tax and e-Tax Invoice, US multi-state sales tax and Indian GST are scoped from the first workshop, not discovered at go-live.

Second-opinion review

Already holding a proposal from another Odoo firm? We review scope, estimates and assumptions line by line and tell you what is sound, padded or missing.

The honest part

Sometimes the right answer is not Odoo, or not yet

A consultant paid only on implementation will always recommend implementation. Our study is priced on its own, so a lighter tool, a process fix before automation, or waiting a year all stay possible outcomes. A small services firm whose only real need is bookkeeping may be better off in QuickBooks, and we will write that down.

  • Priced separately from any build
  • No commission on licenses
  • The $0 Community option always on the table
  • One accountable owner named at kickoff
  1. Standard Odoo

Covered out of the box. No code, and no extra cost at the next upgrade.

  2. Configuration

Reached through settings, rules or Studio, and still upgrade-safe.

  3. Custom module

Genuinely beyond standard. Built as a separate, tested module and priced on its own line.

  4. Later or never

A nice-to-have, or a habit left over from the old system. Parked for a later phase or dropped.

Where consulting pays off

Three situations we untangle most often

The business outgrew its spreadsheets

Orders, stock and costing live in files only one or two people understand. We document what each file really does, so the roadmap replaces its function, not just its format.

Three quotes, three different projects

When bids are far apart, they describe different scopes. An independent scope document puts every bidder on the same baseline, so the gaps show before you sign.

The last ERP attempt failed

We start with a post-mortem of where scope, data or adoption broke, then design the roadmap around that specific failure instead of a generic template.

How the study runs

Two to four weeks from first workshop to roadmap

  1. 1. Kickoff and owner

We agree the processes and entities in scope, fix the fee, and ask you to name one accountable decision-maker.

  2. 2. Walk the process

One real order followed end to end, quote to cash and purchase to pay, with the staff who handle it.

  3. 3. Audit master data

Duplicate customers, dead SKUs and inconsistent units are found in week one and costed into the plan.

  4. 4. Gap analysis and edition

Each requirement sorted into standard, configure or build, with the Community or Enterprise verdict and the license math.

  5. 5. Costed roadmap

A written, phased plan your team or any implementer can build from without calling us.

FAQ

Questions clients ask first

How long does an Odoo consulting engagement take?

Two to four weeks covers most single-company studies. Each extra legal entity adds processes to walk, so group structures run longer. The engagement ends with a written, phased roadmap rather than a slide deck and a handshake.

How much does Odoo consulting cost?

It is one fixed fee, quoted in writing once we know how many processes and legal entities are in scope. There is no hourly meter running during workshops and no discovery phase that quietly extends itself.

Do we need Odoo Enterprise, or is Community enough?

Community covers more than most teams expect, and its license costs $0. Enterprise earns its per-user fee when you need things like Studio, full accounting automation or official Odoo support. The study shows the math for your case, and Enterprise is billed by Odoo directly, never marked up by us.

Do we have to hire you for the implementation?

No. The study is sold and delivered on its own, and the roadmap belongs to you. Build it with your in-house team, hand it to another implementer, or ask us to quote, whichever serves the business best.

What happens if Odoo is not the right fit?

The report says so and explains why. The better answer might be a lighter tool, fixing a process before automating it, or waiting until volume justifies an ERP. Hearing that before you buy licenses is far cheaper than hearing it after go-live.

Can you review an Odoo proposal we already have?

Yes. Our second-opinion review goes through the scope, estimates and assumptions line by line and flags customization that would cost again at every upgrade. You also get a list of questions to put to the bidder before signing.
