FAQ

Questions clients ask first

Should we build in Swift or cross-platform?

Swift and SwiftUI give the most native feel and the earliest access to new iOS features, which suits iPhone-only or iPad-first apps. React Native or Flutter save effort when the same app must ship on Android too. We recommend one after looking at your users' devices and the features you need.

Do we need our own Apple Developer account?

Yes, and we recommend an organization account so the app is published under your company name. Apple asks organizations for a D-U-N-S number during enrollment, so start early. We join your team with limited roles and never need to own the account.

How does App Store review work, and why do apps get rejected?

Apple reviews every new app and update before release, usually within a day or two. Common rejections are crashes, missing demo logins for apps behind a sign-in, apps that simply wrap a website, and missing in-app account deletion. We prepare for each of these and plan the launch date with room for one resubmission.

Can we distribute an internal app without listing it publicly?

Yes. Apple Business Manager lets you distribute a custom app privately to your own organization or to specific business customers, and TestFlight works for pilots. The app still goes through Apple's review, but it never appears in public App Store search.

How does the app connect to Odoo?

Through Odoo's external API, using a dedicated integration user with only the access rights the app needs. Data the user needs offline is cached on the device, and changes sync back to Odoo when the connection returns. We support Odoo 16 through 19, Community or Enterprise.

What does an iOS app cost to build and run?

Build cost depends on screens, offline needs, integrations and whether you also need Android, and we quote a fixed price per phase after scoping. Running costs include Apple's annual developer program fee, paid by you to Apple, plus hosting for any backend. Updates for new iOS versions can be covered by a support plan.
