Food & beverage ERP

Cost every recipe and trace every batch in Odoo.

We configure Odoo Manufacturing, Inventory, Quality, Sales and Point of Sale for food and beverage producers: recipes as BOMs, lot-tracked batches with shelf life, and allergen data on every product. Distributor sales, route deliveries and your own outlets run on the same stock.

  • Recipes and BOMs
  • Batch and lot tracking

What we set up

Every step from raw material to the store shelf

Standard Odoo covers recipes, batches, expiry and sales well. We configure it around your products and plant, and add small modules for the food-specific details it leaves out, such as allergen statements and label data.

Featured module

Recipes, batches and real costs

Recipes live as bills of materials with yields, by-products and packaging, and each manufacturing order records the lots and quantities actually used. Recipe cost follows ingredient costs, so margin is visible before a new price list goes out.

  • Multi-level BOMs for bases, fillings and finished packs
  • By-products and planned output per batch
  • Actual consumption by lot on every order
  • Recipe cost that follows ingredient costs

Standard Odoo set up for your sector first; custom code only where it stops.

Talk to us

Shelf life and FEFO

Each lot gets expiry and best-before dates from the product's shelf life, and FEFO picking ships the earliest-expiring stock first.

Allergens and label data

Allergens, ingredients, the Thai FDA (อย.) food serial number and storage instructions are kept on each product and printed on labels and specification sheets.

Quality and HACCP-style checks

Quality checks at receiving, at critical control points and before release record temperatures, readings and pass or fail against the lot.

Production planning

The Master Production Schedule and work center capacity turn forecasts and distributor orders into batch plans the plant can follow.

Distributor and wholesale sales

Pricelists by distributor, channel or region, promotional pricing and credit terms, all on the same sales flow.

Route delivery

Deliveries grouped into batches by route and vehicle, with loading lists, lot numbers on the delivery note and signed proof of delivery.

POS for outlets and cafes

Odoo Point of Sale for your shops, kiosks or cafes, with restaurant features such as tables, kitchen printing and split bills, drawing stock from the same warehouse.

Waste, returns and recalls

Scrap, expired stock and customer returns are recorded against the lot, and the traceability report shows which customers received a batch if you need to recall it.

The lot number

One lot number from intake to invoice

In food production, the lot number is the thread that ties a supplier delivery to a batch, a pallet, a delivery note and an invoice. We design the Odoo setup around that thread, so a quality question or a recall starts from one search instead of a stack of paper logs.

Walk the plant first

We follow one ingredient from the receiving dock through production, packing and dispatch before configuring anything.

Clean recipes once

Recipes, yields and units of measure are checked with your production lead before they become BOMs, because costing depends on them.

One line live first

A pilot production line or product family goes live first, then the rest of the plant and the outlets follow.

Stay through the first close

We stay through the first month-end close, when production variances, stock valuation and distributor receivables meet the books.

Before you commit

What food makers should know about Odoo

Odoo handles most food and beverage operations well, but a few areas need custom work or careful setup. We list them before you sign, not after go-live.

01

Catch weight is not native

Selling by the kilogram while stocking by the piece, common for meat, seafood and cheese, is not standard in Odoo and needs a custom module.

02

Allergen logic is yours to define

Odoo stores allergen data once it is configured, but it does not derive allergens from ingredients by itself. We build that roll-up if you need it, and your food safety team signs off the rules.

03

Quality and MPS need Enterprise

The Quality app and the Master Production Schedule are Enterprise features. Smaller producers can start on Community and add them later.

04

Labels follow the law and the printer

Thai FDA (อย.) labeling rules and your printer models decide the label layout. We build labels from Odoo data, but your regulatory team approves the content.

05

Excise has no standard report

Excise on sugary drinks or alcohol has no standard Thai report in Odoo. We build the calculation and the report in the format your accountant files.

06

Plant-floor devices vary

Scales, metal detectors and line sensors differ widely. Some connect through the Odoo IoT Box; others need a middleware step or manual entry at first.

How we help

Each point is priced into the phase where it belongs and written into the scope before work starts. If Odoo is not the right system for your plant, you hear it from us on the first call.

Reliability & security

Engineered for reliability & security

Role-based access

Odoo security groups and record rules so each person sees only what their job needs.

Tested backups

Daily backups with restores rehearsed on a schedule. An untested backup is not a backup.

Full audit trail

Chatter history, approvals and document logs show who changed what, and when.

Hardened hosting

TLS everywhere, patched servers, firewalls and monitoring whether you run Odoo.sh or your own server.

PDPA-aware data handling

Personal data kept where it belongs, with retention and access set up around Thailand's PDPA.

Upgrade-safe custom code

Custom work lives in separate, tested modules so the next Odoo version is an upgrade, not a rebuild.

Rollout

A smooth rollout, fully supported

  1. Walk the process

Workshops with the people who do the work, before any configuration.

  2. Configure the baseline

Standard Odoo set up for your sector first; custom code only where it stops.

  3. Pilot with one team

One site, one team, one month, on live data, with a rollback point.

  4. Scale and hand over

Roll out to the rest, train by role, and stay through the first month-end close.

Dedicated consultant

The same person from the first call to go-live.

Documentation you keep

Process guides and handover notes in your own repository.

Training in EN or TH

Role-based sessions for new staff, whenever you need them.

Integrations

Connected to the plant, the road and the till

Food businesses run on scales, printers, marketplaces and delivery apps as much as on ERP screens. We connect the ones that carry lot, weight or order data into Odoo, through their APIs where the platform offers one, so nothing is typed twice.

  • Mettler Toledo scales
  • Zebra label printers
  • GS1 barcodes
  • Odoo IoT Box
  • GrabFood
  • LINE MAN
  • Shopee
  • Lazada
  • PromptPay
  • Power BI

Weights into batches

Scale readings go straight into quality checks and work order steps through the Odoo IoT Box, so weights are not copied from paper.

Labels from live data

Product, lot, dates, allergens and the Thai FDA food serial number print from Odoo onto GS1 and shelf labels.

Delivery app orders

Orders from GrabFood or LINE MAN can flow into Odoo POS or Sales through the platforms' partner APIs, where your account has access to them.

Marketplace and payment reconciliation

Shopee, Lazada and PromptPay receipts are matched to orders and bank lines in Accounting.

Engagement options

Build it in the order your plant needs

Each phase has a fixed scope and price, agreed in writing before work starts. Enterprise licenses, where you need them, are billed by Odoo directly and never marked up by us.

FAQ

Questions clients ask first

Can Odoo manage recipes and batch production for food?

Yes. Recipes are set up as bills of materials with yields, by-products and packaging, and each manufacturing order records the lots actually consumed. Recipe cost follows ingredient costs, so you can see margin per product before you reprice.

How does Odoo track shelf life and expiry dates?

Turn on expiration dates, set the shelf life on each product, and Odoo calculates expiry, best-before, removal and alert dates for every lot. FEFO picking then ships the earliest-expiring stock first, and alerts show lots approaching their dates.

Can Odoo handle allergen information?

Odoo can store allergens, ingredients and label data on each product once the fields are configured, and print them on labels and specification sheets. Automatic roll-up from ingredients to finished products is a custom addition. Your food safety team should approve the rules and the label content.

Does Odoo work for both a factory and retail outlets?

Yes. Manufacturing, distributor sales and Point of Sale share the same products and stock, so outlets sell from the same records the factory produces into. Each outlet can have its own stock location, pricing and receipt layout.

Can Odoo print Thai FDA (อย.) numbers on food labels?

Yes. The food serial number, registration details and storage instructions can be stored per product and printed on labels, delivery notes or specification sheets. Keeping registrations valid with the Thai FDA stays with your regulatory team; Odoo keeps the data consistent across documents.
